Hawaiian Electric's Summer Internship Program

Hawaiian Electric is committed to providing college students an opportunity to learn and grow within their field of study. Our internship program is designed to allow students the ability to gain coveted professional experience and industry knowledge.

Our Summer 2024 program will have three sessions to accommodate academic schedules.

• Session One: May 28, 2024 - Aug. 9, 2024
• Session Two: June 10, 2024 - Aug. 9, 2024
• Session Three: June 24, 2024 - Aug. 23, 2024

2. Search for 'Summer Intern' and apply to the project grouping(s) that best fit your area(s) of interest.

Our company prefers students who are/have:

• An undergraduate student enrolled at an accredited college/university
• A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale
• A strong work ethic and team player mentality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

The Summer Internship Program looks for students studying:

• Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil/Structural)
• Information Technology and Cybersecurity
• Accounting/Finance/Auditing
• Human Resources
• Marketing/Communications
• Safety or Emergency Planning & Preparedness
• Other related majors
