Baked Pear and Apple Puree

Ingredients:

Baked Pear and Apple Puree

  • 3 pears, cored, peeled and halved
  • 3 apples, cored, peeled and halved
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, add all ingredients and toss gently to combine.
  3. Place mixture in a shallow baking dish with 1 1/2-inches of water.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until fruit is tender.
  5. Cool fruit for 10 minutes.
  6. Place in a blender and pulse till smooth.

Makes 6 servings.
