- 1 lb sashimi-grade ahi fillet, 1/2-inch thick
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 to 4 teaspoons wasabi (horseradish paste)
- Pepper to taste
- Shichimi (Japanese 7-spices) to taste (optional)
- 4 sheets sushi nori (variety of seaweed used for sushi)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons salad oil
- Soy sauce
