Payment Arrangement Options

Hawaiian Electric has suspended service disconnections for customers on Maui through Jan. 5, 2024 due to the impact of the devastating wildfires. Late fees and interest charges will not be incurred during this time for these customers.

Hawaiian Electric understands that customers may be experiencing financial hardship and is offering the following interest-free monthly installment plans for a limited time. For all options, late fees are waived.

In addition to the monthly installments, you will continue to incur new energy charges each month that must also be paid by the stated due date for the duration of your special payment arrangement.

Payment Plan Options and Terms

Payment Plan Type Eligibility Payment Terms
  • Payment Arrangement Plan: Divide your current Total Balance Due into equal monthly installments over a period of 4 or 6 months.
  • Payment Extension: Extend your Total Past Due balance to a future due date (maximum extension is 30 days).
Both plans are available to active residential and small commercial accounts (Schedule G only). Both plans require on-time payment of future monthly bills, in addition to the Payment Arrangement Plan/Payment Extension amount.
