Nutty Crunch Bark

Ingredients:

Nutty Crunch Bark

  • 12 graham crackers (2 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch size)
  • 2 cups chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) chocolate chips, melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan with foil; grease foil.
  3. Arrange crackers in a single layer with edges touching in prepared pan.
  4. Sprinkle macadamia nuts evenly over crackers.
  5. In a heavy small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  6. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil.
  7. Continue to boil syrup 3 minutes longer without stirring; pour over crackers.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until bubbly and slightly darker around the edges.
  9. Cool completely in pan.
  10. Break into pieces.
  11. Drizzle melted chocolate chips over top of candy; let set.
  12. Store in an airtight container.

Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
