Battah-Bhing-Cherry-Chocolate-Chip-Walnut Cookies

Ingredients:

Battah Bhing Cherry Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 cup whole dried Bing cherries
  • 1 1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend butter, egg and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl mix dry sugars, salt, baking soda, and flour.
  4. Mix dry ingredient blend into butter mixture.
  5. Stir in cherries, walnuts and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  6. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheet about 2 inches; flatten ball.
  7. Bake on top rack for 13 minutes or until center is soft but not raw.
  8. Cool slightly and remove to wire rack for about 20 minutes.

Makes about 4 dozen.
