- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend butter, egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl mix dry sugars, salt, baking soda, and flour.
- Mix dry ingredient blend into butter mixture.
- Stir in cherries, walnuts and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheet about 2 inches; flatten ball.
- Bake on top rack for 13 minutes or until center is soft but not raw.
- Cool slightly and remove to wire rack for about 20 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen.
