Birds Nests made with Crispy Rice Cereal

Ingredients:

Birds Nests made with Crispy Rice Cereal

  • 1 package (11 1/2 ounces) milk chocolate
  • 4 ounces Bakers German sweet chocolate OR semi-sweet
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies)
  • Mini chocolate eggs, jelly beans, or other candy to decorate

Directions:

  1. Place chocolate in a large microwave-proof bowl and microwave for 2 minutes to melt chocolate; stir well.
  2. Add crispy rice cereal and mix to coat well.
  3. Line small bowls (such as 6-ounce size custard cups) with plastic food wrap.
  4. Place about 1/2 cup into each bowl and use the spoon to roughly make it the shape of a nest.
  5. Place bowls into refrigerator to set chocolate, about 1 hour.
  6. Remove plastic wrap from nests and fill with candy.

Makes about 12 nests.
