Broken Glass Jell-O

Ingredients:

Broken Glass Jell-O

  • 5 boxes (3 ounces each) assorted flavors gelatin (such as Jell-O)
  • 5 teaspoons sugar
  • 5 cups boiling water
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin (such as Knox)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the flavored gelatins in separate bowls, using 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 cup boiling water for each.
  2. Chill until firm.
  3. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar and unflavored gelatin, bring to a boil; cool.
  4. Dip a sharp knife into hot water; cut the flavored into pieces and place into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  5. Pour milk mixture over the flavored gelatin pieces.
  6. Chill until firm.
  7. Cut into 1-inch squares.

Makes 12 servings.
