Caramelized Apple Bananas with Ice Cream and Macadamia Nuts

Ingredients:

Caramelized Apple Bananas with Ice Cream and Macadamia Nuts

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 12 apple bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup toasted macadamia nut bits

Directions:

  1. In a large heavy skillet, caramelize sugar over high heat.
  2. Whisk in butter, a little at a time.
  3. Add bananas; cook until soft.
  4. Place 6 banana slices on each plate.
  5. Top with a scoop of ice cream.
  6. Sprinkle with macadamia nuts and drizzle with remaining sauce.

Makes 4 servings.
