Cheesecake Cookies

Ingredients:

Cheesecake Cookies

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl of electric mixer combine flour, butter, and brown sugar.
  3. Mix until fine particles are formed.
  4. Stir in nuts.
  5. Reserve 1 cup of mixture for topping.
  6. Press remainder in ungreased 8-inch square pan.
  7. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. In same mixer bowl combine remaining ingredients.
  9. Beat well.
  10. Spread over partially baked crust.
  11. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  12. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  13. Cool and then cut into squares.

Makes 16 squares.
