Chocolate Chip and Heath Bar Cookies

Ingredients:

Chocolate Chip and Heath Bar Cookies

  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups finely chopped Heath Bars (or other chocolate-coated toffee candy bars)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or macadamia nuts

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl of electric mixer, combine brown and white sugar.
  2. Add butter; beat well.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until light and fluffy.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips, Heath Bars, and nuts.
  6. Mix on low speed until well blended but do not over mix.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  8. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes about 48 servings.
