- Beat egg yolks and add sugar, salt, and milk.
- Cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
- Add gelatin softened in cold water and vanilla.
- Stir until gelatin is dissolved.
- Chill until partially set.
- Add remaining 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar to the stiffly beaten egg whites and fold into the gelatin mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour into graham cracker crust and chill in refrigerator until firm.
- Add vanilla to whipped cream and spread over the filling.
- Sprinkle with additional chocolate chips.
