Double Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

Double Chocolate Brownies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened baking chocolate (such as Baker's)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each egg.
  6. Stir in flour, vanilla, and nuts.
  7. Spread in pan and top with chocolate chips.
  8. Bake 40 or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Makes 24 bars.
