Dry Garlic Spareribs

Ingredients:

Dry Garlic Spareribs

  • 3 pounds spareribs
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons low-salt shoyu
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil.
  2. Cut the ribs apart.
  3. Add spareribs to boiling water, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes until tender.
  4. To make sauce, mix together brown sugar, water, garlic, shoyu and mustard.
  5. Remove spareribs from pot, and slice meat between bones.
  6. Clean out pot.
  7. Add sauce ingredients to pot and bring to a boil.
  8. Add spareribs, bring back to a boil, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Makes 6 servings.
