Easy Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

Easy Apple Crisp

  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • Ice cream or whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Place apples in a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. Sprinkle the 1/4 cup of sugar and the cinnamon on top of apples.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine baking soda, brown sugar, oatmeal, and flour.
  4. Add butter and mix together to make a crumbly dough.
  5. Sprinkle dough on top of apples and lightly press down.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Makes 9 servings.
