Friendship Brownies

Ingredients:

Friendship Brownies

  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 9-inch square pan.
  3. In a small bowl, beat eggs, oil, and vanilla.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugars, salt, baking powder, and cocoa.
  5. Add egg mixture to flour mixture.
  6. Add chocolate chips and nuts; spread batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and cut into serving pieces.

Makes 16 squares.
