Fruits with Almond Sauce

Ingredients:

Fruits with Almond Sauce

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2/3 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup finely diced honeydew
  • 1/2 cup finely diced cantaloupe
  • 1/2 cup finely diced watermelon
  • 4 strawberries, sliced
  • 2 maraschino cherries, halved

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine sugar, milk, almond extract, and gelatin; add boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
  2. Chill.
  3. To serve, pour almond sauce onto 2 serving plates.
  4. Place fruits over sauce.

Makes 2 servings.
