- Dash of salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 large piece fresh ginger, slivered
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 1/2 lb whole Japanese striped bass, cleaned
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup cornstarch
- Salad oil for deep frying
- 1 pkg (1 oz) rice sticks
- Romaine lettuce leaves for garnish
Sauce:
- 1 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1 cup diced cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1 cup chopped Chinese parsley
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup salad oil or olive oil
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
