Grilled Garlic Herb Shrimp

Ingredients:

Grilled Garlic Herb Shrimp

  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning blend
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
  • 2 pounds large shrimp (21-25 per pound) peeled and deveined

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together paprika, garlic, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, olive oil, pepper, basil, and brown sugar.
  2. Stir and toss shrimp to evenly coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, turning once.
  4. Heat outdoor grill on medium high heat.
  5. Lightly oil grill grate, and place about 4 inches from heat source.
  6. Remove shrimp from marinade, drain excess, and discard marinade.
  7. Place shrimp on grill and cook, turning once, until opaque in the center, 5 - 6 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately.
