Hoi Sin Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients:

Hoi Sin Baby Back Ribs

  • 5 pounds baby back ribs
  • 2 inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/3 cup hoi sin sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon sake (Japanese rice wine)

Directions:

  1. Cut racks of ribs into individual ribs.
  2. Place into a large saucepot with the sliced ginger, cover with water and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients and marinate ribs in sauce for 4 to 5 hours.
  4. Broil or grill ribs.

Makes 10 servings.
