Ice Cream Gelatin Dessert

Ingredients:

Ice Cream Gelatin Dessert

  • 2 packages (6 ounces each) strawberry gelatin (any flavor or your choice)
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine gelatins, sugar, and the boiling water.
  2. Stir until gelatins and sugar are dissolved.
  3. Put ice cream into a small bowl; stir in 1 cup of the hot gelatin.
  4. Gently fold into remaining gelatin mixture.
  5. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  6. Chill until firm.
  7. Gelatin will form two layers.
  8. Cut into serving pieces.

Makes 20 servings.
