- In a large bowl, combine shoyu, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and pepper.
- Add chicken and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Lightly coat marinated chicken with potato starch.
- Heat oil in a wok or medium pot to 350°F.
- Fry in small batches until golden brown and chicken is cooked through, about 4-6 minutes.
- Serve with lemon wedges.
