Layered Cookie Dessert

Ingredients:

Layered Cookie Dessert

  • 1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 cups strong coffee
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 pkg (7 oz size) arrowroot biscuits*

Directions:

  1. Sweeten whipped topping with the powdered sugar; beat until the consistency of frosting.
  2. Sweeten coffee with the sugar; mix well.
  3. Dip each wafer in coffee and place in the bottom of a serving dish.
  4. Spread wafers with a layer of frosting.
  5. Repeat process, making about 10 layers.
  6. Top with remaining frosting.
  7. Cover and chill for 3 to 4 hours.
  8. Cut into serving pieces.

Makes 6 servings.

*Crisp vanilla or chocolate wafers can be substituted.
