Peach Party Dessert

Ingredients:

Peach Party Dessert

Cake:

  • 1 can (29 ounces) sliced peaches with syrup
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1 box (3 ounces) orange gelatin (such as Jello)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk, chilled
  • 1 large orange chiffon cake, torn into small pieces

Frosting:

  • 1 box (4-serving size) instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 packet (1.3 ounces) Dream Whip whipped topping mix
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup water

Directions:

Cake:

  1. Lightly butter a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  2. Drain peaches and reserve syrup.
  3. Cut peaches into small pieces.
  4. In a large saucepan, heat the syrup from the peaches, peaches, unflavored gelatin, orange gelatin, and sugar until gelatin melts; cool.
  5. Whip evaporated milk in a chilled bowl until mixture is stiff.
  6. Fold in peach mixture.
  7. Place half of orange chiffon cake into prepared pan, pour half of the peach mixture over cake; repeat.
  8. Chill cake overnight.

Frosting:

  1. In a bowl, whip all ingredients together with an electric mixer.
  2. Spread over peach cake.

Makes 20 servings.
