Pork Hash-Ham-Abalone

Ingredients:

Pork Hash-Ham-Abalone

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (15-ounce) can abalone, 1/2 cup of liquid reserved, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Hawaiian salt
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium shoyu
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound ham, diced
  • 1 pound string beans, diced

Directions:

  1. Mix cornstarch, reserved abalone liquid, salt, shoyu, and water; set aside.
  2. In a large saute pan, heat oil over medium high heat.
  3. Saute pork and ham for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add string beans; cook until tender but crisp.
  5. Thicken with cornstarch mixture; turn off heat.
  6. Add abalone and stir well.
  7. Do not cook abalone.

Makes 6 servings.
