- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Combine pumpkin and eggs.
- Stir in the 1/2 cup light brown sugar, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and milk.
- Pour into prepared pie shell.
- Bake for 15 minutes; lower heat to 375°F and bake for 20 more minutes.
- Cream butter with the 2/3 cup brown sugar.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spoon around edge of pie.
- Bake 7 to 10 more minutes or until filling is set; cool.
- Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
