Sausage and Bean Soup

Ingredients:

Sausage and Bean Soup

  • Oil for sautéing
  • 1 package (16 ounces) Polska Kielbasa sausage (such as Hillshire Farm®)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) can beef broth
  • 1 can (14 to 16 ounces each) black beans, drained
  • 1 can (14 to 16 ounces each) white beans, drained
  • 1 can (14 to 16 ounces each) can stewed tomatoes with garlic and basil

Directions:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil, sausage, garlic, and onion; sauté until the onion is lightly browned and translucent.
  2. Place mixture into the crockpot with the broth, beans and tomatoes.
  3. Cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours or high heat for 4 to 6 hours.

Makes 6 servings.
