Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 pounds spare ribs
- 1/4 pound fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shoyu
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flour or corn starch mixed with 2 tablespoons water to thicken
