- In a small mixing bowl dissolve yeast in milk, leave in for a few minutes to get frothy.
- In a separate mixing bowl mix together flour, salt and sugar.
- Add eggs and yeast mixture to flour, using a wooden spoon mix together until it becomes a gluten texture.
- Add raisins and apples, mix in well, cover bowl and let sit for 1 hour.
- In a deep fryer heat oil to 340 degrees.
- Using an ice cream scoop, spoon out dough and let slide into the oil.
- Let fry until golden brown 4-5 minutes.
- With a slotted spoon, remove from oil and place into a colander layered with paper towels to absorb the remaining oil.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
