Ono Loaded Saimin

Ingredients:

Ono Loaded Saimin

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 pkg (3 oz size) dry ramen noodles with soup base
  • 1/2 cup sliced char siu (Chinese sweet roasted pork) or cooked chicken
  • 3 cups sliced won bok (celery cabbage)
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup sliced imitation crabmeat
  • 1/4 cup slivered kamaboko (Japanese steamed fish cake)
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped Thai basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped Chinese parsley
  • 1 hard boiled egg, sliced
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce

Directions:

  1. In a saucepot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add ramen noodles, soup base, char siu, and won bok; simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour into 2 serving bowls, top with bean sprouts, crabmeat, kamaboko, green onions, basil, mint, Chinese parsley, and sliced egg.
  4. Serve with Thai sweet chili sauce.

Makes 2 servings.
