Release Date: 7/20/2022
HONOLULU, July 20, 2022 - Hawaiian Electric crews will temporarily relocate utility poles and overhead lines along Kamehameha Highway in Hauula to allow for construction of the state's Kaipapau Stream Bridge replacement project. Crews will be installing poles and equipment that will require a lane closure Monday July 25, to Thursday, July 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and traffic contraflowed. The addition of Monday is an update from a previous advisory.
Traffic cones will alert motorists ahead of the work zones where multiple bucket trucks will be staged, and flagmen will direct traffic.
Motorists should drive with caution when approaching and passing the work area and expect traffic delays.
