Beef Tomato

Ingredients:

Beef Tomato

  • 1 pound chuck or round steak, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 round onions, sliced
  • 4 large tomatoes, quartered
  • 4 stalks celery, sliced
  • 3 green peppers, seeded and sliced
  • 1/2 pound green beans, sliced

Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 slice fresh ginger, crushed

Gravy:

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium shoyu
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine beef and seasonings; let stand for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a large saute pan heat oil on medium-high heat, add all vegetables except tomatoes, and saute.
  3. When almost cooked, add beef and tomatoes.
  4. Add gravy ingredients and bring to a boil.
  5. Serve hot with rice.
