Sun Power for Schools
Molokai Middle School
The 6th Sun Power for Schools system got installed at Molokai Middle School. As of July 16, 2008, their photovoltaic (PV) system was up and running on top of Building V.
- Total peak rating of 1.34 kilowatts (kW)
- Eight (8) Sharp 167 watt poly-crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules
- One (1) SMA Sunny Boy 1800U inverter
- DC and AC disconnection switches
- Data acquisition system (Data collection can be monitored and analyzed by students as part of integrated renewable energy lessons.)
