Ingredients:

45-Second Pie Crust

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions:

  1. In small bowl of electric mixer, add shortening, flour, and salt.
  2. Blend at low speed for about 30 seconds or until mixture is the consistency of coarse cornmeal.
  3. Add water and mix on low speed about 15 seconds or until dough clings together.
  4. Shape dough into ball and roll to fit pie pan.

Makes one 9-inch pie crust.

Tip: When making pie crust, refrigerate all ingredients. Cold ingredients are key to making a tender, pliable dough.
