Arare Cookie Crunch

Ingredients:

Arare Cookie Crunch

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups crushed arare (Japanese rice crackers)

Directions:

  1. Preheat electric oven to 325°F.
  2. In large bowl of electric mixer, cream butter, margarine, and sugar.
  3. Add flour and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Stir in arare.
  5. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets and flatten slightly.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 5 dozen cookies.
