Broiled Sushi

Ingredients:

Broiled Sushi

  • 10 dried shiitake mushrooms
  • 1/4 pound imitation or canned crabmeat, shredded
  • 1/4 pound cooked bay shrimp
  • 1/4 pound cooked scallops, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup nori furikake (Japanese seasoned seaweed mix)
  • Korean nori

Directions:

  1. Soak mushrooms in water until soft; squeeze out excess water, then chop caps.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mushrooms, crabmeat, shrimp, scallops, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
  3. Place cooked rice in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan; sprinkle furikake over rice.
  4. Top with the crabmeat mixture.
  5. Broil for 8 to 10 minutes, or until browned.
  6. Spoon into Korean nori and serve.

Makes 12 servings.
