Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken Wing Drumettes

Ingredients:

Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken Wing Drumettes

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste (optional)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 16 chicken wing drumettes
  • 8 slices bacon, cut in half

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together chili, garlic, and onion powders, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
  4. In a separate bowl, add brown sugar.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Pat drumettes with a paper towel, making sure they are dry.
  7. Sprinkle chili powder mixture over each drumette; set on a dry paper towel.
  8. Roll a half piece of bacon around each drumette.
  9. Secure with a toothpick, if needed.
  10. Roll each bacon- wrapped drumette in brown sugar.
  11. Shake off any excess.
  12. Place drumettes on prepared baking sheet.
  13. Bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Tip: Cooking bacon in water will lessen the splattering and will give you a crispy, tasty but not greasy piece of bacon.
