- In a large bowl combine cheeses, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Use an electric mixer to beat ingredients till well blended.
- Divide mixture in half.
- Add peppers to half, and onions to remaining half; mix each until blended.
- Refrigerate for several hours or until chilled.
- Combine chopped nuts and place in a shallow dish; set aside.
- Using a small melon baller shape each mixture into 24 1-inch balls; roll in nuts.
- Serve with savory crackers or crostini of choice.
Makes about 48 truffles, 24 of each variety.
