- In a large skillet, brown chicken.
- Add onions, green peppers, and garlic; brown lightly.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
To cook the chicken in a crock pot or a slow cooker:
- Place the browned chicken, onions, green peppers and garlic into the crock pot; add remaining ingredients.
- Cook on low for about 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
