- 1 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 3 tablespoons salad oil
- 1 small piece ginger root, crushed
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cans (14 1/2 oz size) chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 large green papaya, pared and seeded
