- In a large nonstick skillet heat butter over medium.
- Add garlic and ham; cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned (about 3 minutes).
- Add chicken broth, cream, nutmeg and cheeses.
- Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is slightly thickened (about 3 minutes).
- Add pasta, peas, pepper; and salt to taste; toss to coat.
