Crescent Taco Squares

Ingredients:

Crescent Taco Squares

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 pkg (1 1/4 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 2 cans (8 oz size) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 pkg (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat electric oven to 425°F.
  2. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. In a skillet, brown beef.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, water, and seasoning mix; simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Separate dough from each can into 4 rectangles.
  6. Place 4 rectangles lengthwise in prepared pan; stretch and press dough to cover bottom of pan.
  7. Spoon meat mixture over dough and sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Place remaining dough rectangles over cheese.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cut into squares for serving.

Makes 8 servings.
