Gon Lo Mein

Ingredients:

Gon Lo Mein

  • 1 pound fresh chow mein noodles, cooked
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons low-sodium shoyu
  • 2 cups sliced chop suey mix (green beans, carrot, broccoli)
  • 1 egg, scrambled and cooked into a thin omelet, then cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 4 stalks chopped green onions, chopped

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, add noodles, oyster sauce and sesame oil; mix well and set aside.
  2. In a wok or skillet, heat vegetable oil on medium-high heat.
  3. Stir fry vegetables and add shoyu.
  4. Add noodles and incorporate vegetables through noodles; heat well.
  5. To serve, place noodles on a platter, then garnish with egg and green onions.

Serves 4.
