Pork Guisantes

Ingredients:

Pork Guisantes

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-1/2 pounds pork, sliced in small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon shoyu
  • 2 tablespoons patis (fish sauce)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 (6-ounce) package frozen peas
  • 1 (7-ounce) jar pimientos, sliced
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil on medium to high heat, sauté onion, garlic and pork until browned.
  2. Add shoyu, patis, water and bay leaf.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until pork is tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Add tomato paste, peas and pimientos.
  5. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Salt to taste.

Serves 6.
