Sari-Sari (Mixed Vegetable Dish)
- 1/4 lb whole shrimp
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1/2 lb crispy-skin roast pork, sliced
- 1 tablespoon patis (clear fish sauce)
- 1 teaspoon achuete (lipstick plant) powder
- 1 quart hot water
Vegetables (use 4 to 5 of the following):
- 1 cup cubed pumpkin
- 1 cup sliced long beans
- 1 cup sliced winged beans
- 1 cup sliced white squash
- 1 cup sliced okra
- 1 cup sliced eggplant
- 1 cup sliced sequa (sponge gourd)
- 1/2 lb swamp cabbage, cut into 2-inch lengths
- Salt to taste
