Shoyu Fried Chicken Wings
- Oil for frying
- 4 pounds chicken wings, disjointed and tips discarded
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup low-sodium shoyu
- 1 teaspoon mirin (rice wine)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 1 Hawaiian red pepper, cut in half
