Ingredients:

Simple Cinnamon Bread

  • 1 pkg active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 cups biscuit mix
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In large bowl of electric mixer, dissolve yeast in the warm water.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of the sugar and 2 cups of the biscuit mix; beat for 3 minutes at medium speed.
  3. Stir in remaining biscuit mix; mix until smooth.
  4. Cover; let rise until doubled.
  5. Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
  6. Stir batter down by beating 25 stokes.
  7. Combine the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; knead lightly into the dough.
  8. Spread dough evenly in prepared pan; smooth top of loaf with floured fingers.
  9. Cover; let rise until doubled.
  10. Preheat electric oven to 375°F.
  11. Bake for 40 minutes or until done.
  12. Remove from pan and let cool.

Makes 12 servings.

Aloha, we have reviewed the recipe and determined that the ingredients should be 4 cups of biscuit mix, not 2. Therefore, you will have to stir in 2 more cups of biscuit mix. We have updated the recipe ingredients to read 4 cups of biscuit mix. Thank you for letting us know!

Directions says....... Add 2 tablespoons of the sugar and 2 cups of the biscuit mix; beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in remaining biscuit mix; mix until smooth. Recipe calls for 2 cups biscuit. How much more am I adding?
