Strawberry Gelatin Pretzel Dessert

Ingredients:

Strawberry Gelatin Pretzel Dessert

Crust:

  • 2 cups salted pretzels (sticks or traditional pretzel twists), crushed
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Filling:

  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8-oz) container whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Topping:

  • 1 1/3 cup water, boiled
  • 1 (6-ounce) box strawberry gelatin
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Directions:

Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Mix crust ingredients together and press into 9x13 pan.
  3. Bake for 6 minutes.
  4. Let crust cool.

Filling:

  1. Using a hand or stand mixer, mix filling ingredients together until fluffy.
  2. Spread over cooled crust.
  3. Let stand for ½ hour in refrigerator.

    Topping:

    1. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stir in fruit.
    2. When mixture is room temperature, pour on top of cream cheese layer.
    3. Let stand in refrigerator, overnight.

    Serves 12.
