Streusel Pears

Ingredients:

Streusel Pears

  • 6 ripe Bartlett pears, peeled & sliced (about 5-6 cups)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. In a greased 8-inch square microwavable safe dish, place pear slices.
  2. In a bowl use a pastry cutter to mix together flour, brown sugar, oats, butter and cinnamon until crumbly.
  3. Sprinkle streusel mixture over top of pears.
  4. Cover with wax paper and microwave on medium-high power for 12 to 15 minutes.
  5. Let stand a few minutes before serving.
  6. Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
