- 1/4 cup lemon or lime juice
- 1/3 cup low-sodium shoyu
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 local Ewa or Kula sweet onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped limu (seaweed)
- 1 chili pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger root (optional)
- 1 pound cooked tako (octopus), thinly sliced
